1. July New Energy Vehicle Sales Reach 991,000 Units
According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in July, the production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 984,000 and 991,000 units, respectively, with year-on-year increases of 22.3% and 27%. NEVs accounted for 43.8% of total vehicle sales.
2. July Power Battery Installations in China Total 41.6 GWh
The China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance reported that in July, the installed capacity of power batteries in China reached 41.6 GWh, marking a 29% year-on-year increase.
3. SAIC Delivered 2.45 Million Vehicles from January to July
SAIC Motor announced that from January to July, the company sold 2.078 million vehicles wholesale and delivered 2.452 million vehicles to end customers. Among them, 619,000 units were new energy vehicles, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 25.2%.
4. BYD to Procure Huawei's Intelligent Driving System
Reports indicate that BYD’s Fangchengbao "Leopard 8" model will feature Huawei's intelligent driving system in certain versions. The project is currently underway, with the Leopard 8 set to be the first Fangchengbao model to implement urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) capabilities.

Dongfeng Motor reported a total production of 8,903 vehicles and sales of 10,080 vehicles in July. Of these, 540 units were new energy vehicles, with sales totaling 1,543 units.
